Roy Barnes, a local celebrity from the 1930’s until his death in 2005, wrote hundreds of songs and hosted of his own radio show. He is fondly remembered as the early morning wake up voice on KPOW Radio. Barnes and his band played for dances all over the Big Horn Basin. Some of his songs were sung by more famous country western singers, such as Denver Darling. Our permanent Roy Barnes collection includes his abalone inlayed Alvarez guitar and song books.
